key ignition

a friend of mine has a 52 cub that starts with a key all the others i've seen has the pull rod start was that a option on the early models i just thought it was diffrent that the 52 had a key and my 62 was a pull type thanks

It's been modified. I assume it also had 12 volt system on it.

i think the key start takes away from the tractor originality. I like mine with the pull start
