Cub /140 cultivator

Postby jordan6404 » Sat Jul 04, 2015 4:05 pm

Hello all!

I am brand new to posting here, but have been trolling through getting lots of useful information, thank you!

I have recently restored my grandfather's '49 Farmall Cub and am looking to set it up for use in my garden (fairly large, ~1 acre). I understand the 144 model cultivators are the correct model? A man in my area has a set of cultivators that came off of a Farmall 140 for sale, but I have nothing to compare them to, they appear to be very similar to the 144 manual pictures other than the dual rear lift brackets.

Does anyone have any experience interchanging the two model tractor's cultivators?

I'll post some pictures of mine and hopefully the cultivators when I get to a computer.

Thank you in advance!

No. They are not interchangeable. Some parts are shared, mostly the working tools. The universal mounting frames, tool bars etc. for the Super A though 140 tractors are sized for the larger tractors and will not fit a Cub.

Cub cultivators are out there, you will find one.

Welcome to the Forum!

Good luck getting your Cub put to work. You might post a "wanted" in the Vine section.
