Cub won't start

I repainted my cub and in the process I painted over the hole in the gas tank I had it idleing for about 10 minutes and it shut off I noticed there was no gas in the line from the tank to the carb now that I have gas in the line it still won't start I have power coming out of the distribor to the plugs is there a way to maybe vleed the fuel system because it acts like its not getting fuel

Are you sure that the gas cap is venting now? Was the sediment bowl and screen cleaned out? You can remove the square head drain plug from the bottom of the carb to make sure that you have a steady stream for at least 2-3 cupfuls. If not, you'll have to work backwards to find the blockage.

I have a pretty good stream coming out of the plug
