Rear Blade

Postby Jeff Silvey » Sun Jun 07, 2015 6:44 am

I barrowed a rear blade Internation100 from Dave Grapes that came with his low boy. I took the blade apart so Larry could get it home for me sense I was in another vehicle.
The problem is that where it pivots the pin will not stay in the groove its the same pin that was on it. Did they have a special pin? It has a groove but it doesn't look deep enough.
Thanks

Jeff, So what you are trying to say is you broke my blade?

I believe the hitch pin that was on it expanded to go in the groove, but I really doubt that was how it was originally. A parts manual would help greatly if anyone has one, or can direct us to it. (It is an International 1000 blade)

Here is the blade (Pre Jeff.. :) )

Somebody welded a big washer on mine so I can't help.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Jeff, Are you talking about # 5 and 6 or 10 and 11? If it's # 6, you'll have one in the mail as soon as I get the basement dried out.

Perfect John!!

I believe he is talking about parts 10 & ll, the PO had a hitch pin expanded around the shaft in the grove that it appears the retaining ring should be.

Thanks all,
David

Jeff, my blade was missing part number 6. Bob is hooking me up with one. They way it is designed I think they are destined to be lost. I am thinking of some kind of tether for that pin.

Did you find any pictures that show the original paint and numbers?
