Year 3 Farming w the 51 Cub and Baske Weeders and Planters

Postby Rocket Man » Wed May 27, 2015 7:28 pm

simply I mostly check back in here every month or so but have not needed the kind help of the forum for a while.
its year three and I am doing 30 weeks at the market this year all organic and all cub!!
When I got the cub I was in the dark and this forum really helped in everyway,
so for any small farmers starting out
yes this is a great tractor.

On the weekend I visited a farm with some 140s but what blew me away was the basket weeders and the planet jrs.
set up in a 3 gang and they never adjust the basket weeder from the 3 row bed.
Everything carrots spinach etc,,..
So any one have any ideas Ontario to Michigan or Upstate NY that might have or know of basket weeder and or Planet Jrs for the cub.
I would hope they could come from the same place .
Any pics or stories of people using these would be great

here is a snap of my dry 3 acres and my new hoophouses in the distance.
I do it all solo
the cubs my hired help

That's just cruel! The only thing worse than a thread with no pictures is a thread mentioning pictures and then them not being there. :D  I guess you can be excused due the amount of work you do taking care of everything by yourself.

Rocket Man, go to the How To Forum and read one or several of the helps there on how to post pictures. Located here: http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=148

Remember, whenever posting, hit the PREVIEW button at the bottom of your post before hitting SUBMIT. What pops up is the exact PREVIEW of what will be posted. If you don't see any pictures in your PREVIEW, then none will show in your post.

Glad to hear we've bee such a help and things are going well working your place with the Cub...

...would like to see some pictures though. :)

I know nothing about the various cultivators, but saw this on Craigslist...not too far from me.

Those are cool,
and for me would break clumps
but the basket weeder is I believe Buddingh .
http://www.basketweeder.com/
They are still operating and I saw they are close.
But new is 2500.
Perhaps after the fall markets.

But thanks for the link.
