Bent Gear Lever-Deluxe Seat

I was told by an IH parts man that you could not bend the gear lever to accept the deluxe set WHY ?

He is wrong.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

You can, but then the lever will flop around on you. I believe the factory bent shifter has a pin or something in it so the bend will always face forward.

Correct. The same is true for Cub Cadets with a bent shift lever.

Correct. The same is true for Cub Cadets with a bent shift lever.

The CC have a pin to keep them straight but the are not as beefy as the F Cub bent shifter

I have heard that the CC trans.and ring gear was the same as the regular cub is this correct?

The tranny is the same but I believe the ring gear has to be swapped to the other side if using in a f cub. Otherwise you have three reverse gears and one forward.
