Carb problem
Can anyone tell me how to get my Cub to run right. Put on new carb it starts when choke is out but stops when it is pushed in. Will still run about 2/3 out but then stops Tired to adjust cant get it to run with the choke in. Any Ideas? Bill

Bill, That sounds like fuel starvation. First, remove the drain plug on the bottom of the carb. Open the valve on the sediment bowl and make sure you have a pencil thick stream that lasts for 2-3 cups. If you don't, you'll need to start at the sediment bowl. Check to make sure the screen is clean. There is also a screen on the carb in the fuel inlet. If you have an inline filter, make sure it for gravity feed and not a fuel pump situation. Also, shine a light in the gas tank and see if there is a lot of rust or debris that might be clogging up the neck of the sediment bowl. If you have the pencil thick stream, you may need to open up the carb and check the float height and drop. Some new carbs come adjusted correctly and some don't. Check those things and post back what you find.
