New square nose

Postby tractordad » Wed Apr 22, 2015 6:02 pm

Just picked up my first red square nose. It was part of a collection I picked up recenty. I loved using the grader blade but after a few minutes noticed the pin was missing from the adjustment bar just behind the fast hitch point. I searched my driveway and did not find it so I assume it's somewhere within 60 miles of my house. Not knowing what it looks like, could someone post a picture or even better, have one for sale?
thanks,
Gary

Beautiful! I really like the square nose, red Cubs. I would be glad to trade my '49 even-up for one!

Wow, that's a good looking tractor! Congratulations!

Is that brush guard/bumper something that IH made, or did someone fabricate it? That is a good idea.

Okay! Yes, if you want to sell it just send me a PM. With the way I use mine, it would be helpful. Thanks!

Not trying to get in the middle of your bumper deal, but they are made by Fred Cain. Here is one place that lists them (not cheap by any means).

Nice looking tractor Gary, I like the looks of the red ones better than the yellow ones like mine.

I'm with you on that. I think the red ones look better too. But, I'd still like to have a yellow square nose just because... :D

I ran across a very nice red square nose a few years ago, but I couldn't afford it. Maybe one of these days I will.

Nice, welcome to the red long stripe club.... May take mine to do some York rake work at Fort Adams today. Better ground clearance than the yeller Lo Boy.

The pin on a 100 grader blade is special if I recall. Check the parts manual (Case parts online).
