I notice nobody mentioned the Cub Tachometer that just sold on Ebay... What? Afraid someone here would bid you up?

Seriously, $128.05 for a tach that's probably no good... Hope whoever bought it has money to burn.

Come on don't be a pesemist Matt. Maybe it was good. The old the glass is half full or half empty.

I picked up a old 300 utility tachometer at a garage sale.Did not work.Took it apart.Opened the back,bent the edges back off the glass.Looked inside.The oil wick that goes on the brass bushing drys out. That is the piece that rotates the gizmo and flips the the hour didgets. I fixed it,cleaned the rust.I pulled the hour meter and zero timed it.Cleaned the glass painted the back cleaned the dial, painted the needle.Tested and works great.The tach that came off my 350 utility looked like it came off the Titanic, could not even make out any numbers(cracked glass).My tach drive sheared in the dist. Case/ih does not make them anymore I saw that tach. for that one one e-bay.Way to rich for my blood. They make repo's for other ones for around $50. bucks.Which are really nice.But have not see one for the cub(3gear).I did see a NOS cub tach goe for 400 dollars on e-pay
