To answer your question, that is correct. To facilitate removal and refilling the gas tank, I took the advice of a sage, long-time member here on the forum and bought one of these:

I was going to tell him to make sure the tank was full. Before he had to pull it. So I wouldn't feel like the only one. When I rebuilt mine tractor I just about wore the gas out putting it in and taking it out. :mrgreen:
