Seafoam, I'm impressed

Postby gtc4d » Fri Mar 06, 2015 6:46 pm

I will have to say, I was very sceptical, but i reassembled my engine and had a definite miss in the engine with a puff of smoke. this seemed to get worse. 1 can of seafoam. 1/2 in the crankcase and the rest in the gas. It cleared my problem up. I ran the cub (mater) for 30 mins and it ran great.

Thanks guys

Todd

I run it in my gas and in the crankcase as preventative medicine with no ill effects. It may not help much but it doesn't seem to hurt.

Being a mechanic for all of my life I've seen some additives really work right before my eyes. Seafoam is one of them. It lubes the valve guides, loosens stuck rings, reseats the rings the engine will idle higher. Mobil upper lube is another additive that works the same way. If you have the engine running and pour in a quart of Rislone the room's pick up as we pour it in. It frees stuck rings.
Now CD-2 frees stuck lifters. We used CD-2 at the dealer for noisy lifters in used cars. Trust me this stuff works.

Now if they ever invent a engine rebuild in a can I'd be the first to try it. Nothing is a engine rebuild in a can. If it needs rings and is burning oil it needs rebuilding.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

After reading about SeaFoam on this forum I started using it on all my gas engines and have not had a single problem since. Last spring I forgot to run the snow blower dry and it still started first pull. SeaFoam is the best.
