Re: Newbie Needs Help With Mower Pulleys
The one you don't know is a Woods 42. The last mule drive you have pictured goes with it. You will need the drawbar brackets from the drawbar you removed to mount that mule drive. You can mount it with or without your drawbar.
As for the other two mowers, I have never used. So I'll let someone who has tell you about them
Edit: Do not know what the bracket to the left of the two flat bars is used for. Perhaps for one of the other mowers

Re: Newbie Needs Help With Mower Pulleys
The mule drive with bracket in the middle full of holes is for the woods 59", there is a "pipe" support that goes to the wholes from the deck

Re: Newbie Needs Help With Mower Pulleys
My problem is the bolts and holes on the cub bracket etc... Are too big for all the holes on the mule drive and brackets... All bolts with mule drive are too small for the holes in the cub... Just inexperienced I guess...

Re: Newbie Needs Help With Mower Pulleys
I love the woods 42 the best!--single blade lots less hp needed and will cut about anything!
I my second choice is the woods 59, IF you have/use it on a 6-speed tractor, ( 185/154 Lo-Boy, with the creeper gear setup gives 6-speeds)---reg cub is too fast for the small amount of hp that they can put out,---IF you cut regular lawn with them they work on most anything just fine and with properly sharpened blades and do excellent job.
For bush hoggin with the 59 it needs the A/SUPER A tractor. ( I use allis C tractor on one to chop the nasty stuff with,--and 1 is on my A) thanks; sonny

On the woods 42, the mule drive does not mount directly to the finals. You mount the drawbar brackets to the mule drive and then mount mule drive to the finals via the drawbar brackets.

Here is a photo of my mule drive/drawbar assembly removed for final repair. If you can see, you can assemble everything off the tractor, Then loosen the tapered implement bolts - two each side in final. Holding the drawbar so the brackets are hanging down toward the ground, hook the top-most tapered bolt hole of the assembly onto the rear loosened bolt. Once both sides are hooked, simply let the drawbar lower and swing the two forward holes up onto the two forward bolts. It will stay in place until you can tighten up the 4 tapered bolts.
Make sure they are evenly tightened so they fit into the taper...and very tight! If you do not have TAPERED bolts, you need to get them and make sure they are the correct length, as there are at least two choices.
In this photo, you can see I have hooked all 4 bolts in place, but at least the rear ones are still loose. They may have to be loosened a lot to get the hooks on due to messed up tapered holes. I even had to file the point off a bit of one of my hole "points".
I am looking to see if I have clearer pictures, but I hope this helps.

Re: Newbie Needs Help With Mower Pulleys
The mule drives use a piece of flat steel that goes on the outside of the drawbar brackets and the drive clamps on each side of the drawbar bracket, like making a sandwich. You are missing part of the mount for the Woods 59, the long pipe that goes from the mule drive to the mower dick to push it along.

On the right side of your pic. is the 2 clamp straps that slide in behind the drawbar bracket. when you take drawbar off the pulleys bar stays with the drawbar.---unless you remove the straps. 2 nuts and bolts, that you will need are I think 1/2" dia, forgot how long, but they hold the bar on quite well and solid. thanks; sonny

I think that is the flat bracket John is talking about. You might be missing one.

No, John is talking about the two pieces of flat stock that clamp the drawbar brackets to the mule drive. I was referring to the part next to those two pieces he is talking about

Re: Newbie Needs Help With Mower Pulleys
Here are a few more photos of one of my 42 mowers before it was removed, cleaned and remounted with the proper hardware.
In this one you can see they did not use a tapered bolt...the one with the large washer behind it.
This shows the short flat bar used to "clamp" onto the drawbar bracket:
This shows the hitch pin missing from the lower left post (it can't really go anywhere, though):
And as I mentioned, it is pretty easy to install the whole assembly, especially if you have someone on each side and loosen the implement bolts almost all the way out.

Re: Newbie Needs Help With Mower Pulleys
I believe the mystery bracket is for the lift chains of the Woods 59.
And I noticed that the Cub already has the rear brackets for a Woods mounted to the front of the final drives.
