Hey neighbor! Didn't catch it yesterday, but you are just down the road from me. We are fortunate to have a good starter and generator shop nearby. My tractor came from the IH dealer on Corbin across from B-S college. Building is gone, concrete floor remains.

thanks to all who post. I got my 48 running today. I believe the previous owner had a def head gasket because there was antifreeze in cylinder 3 and 4. I think they tried to pull the cub and drop the clutch to start the cub but with antifreeze in the cylinder it bent a rod. changed piston and rod, honed cylinder 3 and 4. reseated valves rebuilt carb and replaced idle tube that i broke. replace new 6v battery and I believe she may be ok. I have not driven her yet, but for the minute i had her running she sure sounded good.
