Postby Robertm » Sun Feb 15, 2015 7:15 pm

Hi I have a 1958 with a fast hitch. I'm wondering if i can install the pto angle drive with the flat belt pully or will the rock shaft be in the way. Thanks Rob

Yes, it will fit. You will have to remove angle bar and maybe lower drawbar to use belt. Had one for years. Will have to remove FH to use buzz or wood saw.

I have never done anything with a fast hitch, but if it uses the same rockshaft as a standard hitch the arm will hit the belt pulley before it gets very far down. Removing the pulley and leaving the angle drive in place would allow it's use though. Of course you could just remove the rod going to the rockshaft if you weren't using a rear mount implement.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Not applicable. The Fast-Hitch rockshaft has an arm on each side rather than one in the middle.

What could it be used for without a pulley?

plow, disk, belly mount mower, cultivator, blade.etc. All need the lift, but not the pulley, and only one bolt to remove pulley.

Your wording made me think you meant the angle drive could be used with the pulley off.

As Iosco shows, some FH belly mowers use a V-belt pulley off the gearbox.

No apology needed John, I can see where it could have been read either way.
