Extra rear light connector!

Postby njreddriver » Mon Feb 09, 2015 2:52 pm

Hello all,

Just picked up my second cub... (1st one, I rescued a seized up 1950 from a field) She's a 1974. It has the original lights and all work an look normal with the exception of an extra connector coiled up behind the rear light assy.
I've seen pictures of some 70 era cubs with a larger orange light mounted higher and opposite of the regular work light. Any Idea's?

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Mine came with a tail light from the factory and it had an extra wire coiled for a work light.

That's the one.... Guess it called a warning light?
Thank you very much.
Guess ill start looking for one now....

From the 74 manual:

"Tractors with Electric Starting and Warning Light:
The light will automatically flash whenever the
lighting switch is in the "ON" position.
Tractors with Electric Starting and Lighting: The
light will automatically flash whenever the red
taillight is "ON".

My 74 has the bracket as well. If it ever had the light, it's long gone now.

Let me know if anyone has a bracket. I would love to restore the assy. Flasher unit IH part number doesn't break anymore.
