Found another CUB Demonstrator

Postby baldwindiesel » Sun Feb 08, 2015 4:35 pm

Today I added another WHITE CUB Demonstrator to the collection. I went to look at a local CUB and to my shock discovered that it had white paint under the hood/gas tank. This one means a lot as I know the family who owned it, and it was a tractor purchased from the local IH Dealership here in town.
Serial number, engine number, and casting dates make it an early MARCH Demonstrator. Better yet, this one's in running condition. It had been repainted RED like most others when sold by the dealership all those years ago.

Kevin,

Nice score. How many Demos do you have now?

It is neat that you know the background of that tractor. My two Super A demos came from out-of-state and some of what I think I "know" about their history is just conjecture....

WHAT ! You mean that white stuff on top isn't proof of a Demonstrator ?????? Well, okay, how about serial number 104012 with castings of 2/3/T and 2/27/T.
You guys ! LOL.
P.S. I'm leaving the other undiscovered WHITE demonstrators for someone else to find.

That's pretty cool. It's fun and interesting to know some of the history of our Cubs'. My Cub is not a demonstrator but it has original decals on it from the dealer that sold it. I found the tractor about fifty miles from where it was originally sold. I brought it home and back to it's home town. I have some of the original literature that came with the tractor which has the dealer stamp on it as well. The dealership has long been out of business.
