cold weather starting

Postby tinnerjohn » Fri Jan 30, 2015 12:34 pm

Been seeing posts on this subject, so here's my method. Unfortunately, Gertie has to live in the blue sky machine shed, but I've never really had trouble getting her to fire up. I follow a procedure like an old air plane: Gas/choke on/ Switch off. Hand crank the engine 2-3 revolutions, Switch on. 1/4 turn on crank, sometimes twice and she's running. Run around tractor and adjust choke. Now my question: Am I lucky or goofy or both doing it this way? John

Sounds about right to me!
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

My wife says I don't listen to her. - - - - - - - - Or something like that!
