Raymond - What an amazing database you have created
Here are the numbers from my Cub.
I bought it last year, but it’s only now, that I have got to the finals and got them freed for dried oil mixed with all kind of dirt.
According to a sticker on the tank top, the tractor was exported to Denmark as part of the Economic Cooperation Act (Marshall plan), which was enacted in April 1948 (thanks to Jim Becker for the info). The sticker text, translated from Danish says: “Supplied by The United States of America to the rebuild of Europe”
The numbers are:
Tractor: serial no.6566 (wrong, a digit is missing, as it doesn’t match the casting dates).
Engine block: serial no. 69744 - part no. 251341-R2 - cast date 2-18-S
Cylinder head: part no. 251228-R1 - cast date 3-3-S
Manifold: part no. 251232-R1, cast date 2-24-S
Bolster: part no. 350886-R2 - cast date 2-4-R
Torque tube: part no. 351686-R1 - cast date 8-8-S
Transmission: part no. 351530-R1 - cast date 3-10-S
Axle extension: part no. 350798-R1 - cast date 8-7-Q
Left final: part no. 350806-R2 - cast date 3-11-S
Right final: part no. 350806-R2 - cast date 3-10-S
Left rear rim: part no. 351428R91 - prod. by Goodyear 1-48
Right rear rim: part no. 351428R91 - prod. by Goodyear 2-49

Re: Database Update 19 Jan 2015
Glen brought it to my attention that one of my numbers was incorrect. It took me a while even looking at it to convince me that he was right! I had noticed it was different from 2 of 3 of my other cubs, and had even double checked then. But ole eagle eyes was right...the correct part number for the bolster is indicated in red.
Thanks Glen...and Raymond!

Re: Database Update 19 Jan 2015
I am new to the forums and really new to owning a cub although I have operated them all through my childhood. I now have two. One that partially runs. It will once I get to work on it. I inherited it from my uncle. Serial number 236582. It is the tractor I cultivated tobacco with growing up through the 80's and 90's. I have another cub that I got from my wife's grandfather when he passed. It seems to be seized. I will get that number info soon. I am in southeastern Ohio. Thanks for allowing me to be in the group.

I am new to this forum. I see under the Cub data base the Tractor Serial number (91959) is in the data base listed as "Exported to Canada". This is the serial number of my tractor. I have the original manual, The engine serial number is 92478, I was unable to add this into the data base. My question is; is there a record of where in Canada it was sent to? I believe my grandparents bought it in Huntsville, Ontario.
Was it bought new in Huntsville?.Chances are it was shipped from the US to Canada thru the Canadian HQ and factory at Hamilton Ontario.Any pictures?

Re: Database Update 19 Jan 2015
You almost have to diassemble the front end to see the bolster code...it is way under between the upper and lower housings. Try from the side with a bright flashlight and a small extendable mirror. Good luck!!
The axle extension requires you to pretty much stand on your head under the platform!! I believe it is toward the transmission block under the bottom of the extension.

Friend of mine has a 1947 Cub S/N 7787 with a 48" Flail Mower mounted to it.
Too much paint on the Engine Casting Code to get a good read.
Touch Control added, lines cover the Engine Serial Number.
Tractor is in great shape overall.

Re: Database Update 19 Jan 2015
Hi Guys! New to the forum. I have a Cub with NO Vin# plate. The Engine Ser# 31049 which looks like a 1948 and the Engine Casting # is 5*14*R which looks to me like May 14,1948. With that said is there a way to find out the tractor Ser# since the plate is missing?
