L 54 blade/snow/grader
Does anyone have dimensions/sketches for the upper arm that connects to the spring and the linkage that connects to the boomerang? I found a a blade close enough finally but it was not all there. I don't think I can find these parts for sale so I need to make them.
Thanks, this forum is great.

frodge,
Assuming you have an L54 Blade for a loboy, check out this photo from TM Tractor and identify what you need.
Here is a link to the same blade bolted onto the tractor. http://www.tmtractor.com/tm-tractor/gim/bladelb_001.htm

Take a want ad out in the want ad/selling section (the vine). Some one might have extra parts they will part with. Also try ebay.

Re: L 54 blade/snow/grader
Thanks, I used that same photo to know what I was getting before I bought it, and used it to show the sellers that it was not all there. I will try to google proper names and part #s and post it on the vine.

No need to google anything. Just go to the forum manual section. http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/Cub%20 ... index.html
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: L 54 blade/snow/grader
Thanks Barnyard!
Can anyone get me some basic measurements off their blade for the parts in the picture? Overall length and distance between holes and thickness on the one. So much appreciated.

I could have sworn that Rudi had sketches for those parts in his database, but I sure can't find them.

Don is the below link what you are referring to? This is in Rudi's Manuals under Implements and Parts Sketches.

Re: L 54 blade/snow/grader
Looked on ebay and didn't see the parts I needed, looked at rudi's prints but not the same parts, good stuff though. If any one has the l 54 and can measure the distance between holes that would be great.
Nice forum.

No. I thought that Rudi Saueracker had some sketches, but I'm beginning to think I was dreaming.

That is the wrong information for an L54A.
If you want the correct part numbers for an L54A they can be found in this manual
http://www.farmallcub.com/[ Sorry, direct links to manual section is not allowed. ]/download.php?fname=./files/Implement%20Parts%20manuals/CBI-2A%2002-60%20OCR.pdf
If anyone comes up with dimensions for fabricating, I will be happy to insert a note into the pdf parts book and send a revised copy to Dennis to upload in the pdf manuals section. A legible print would be even better, I can add it as an appendix.

Re: L 54 blade/snow/grader
Yep an L54 has several parts that are different than a 54A. Especially the 'lift' portion, but also the 'mounting frame'.
A L54 will fit and work on a Cub as a snowplow, but not as a center mounted 'grader' blade. Not enough room under a Lo Boy to use it underneath either.
I believe Bob was suggesting a google search on the part number in order to FIND the part you are looking for. Good tractor junkyards will sell by the part number.
