Sorry, new to this. I mounted an IH 1000 loader on the tractor and had to use the plates that previously held the U shaped bar that raises and lowers the fast hitch as spacers. The holes that the ends of the fast hitch bar would have gone in are covered by the IH1000 loader frame ends..... I have a couple more pictures I will try to post, but basically I am trying to figure out if I missed something like a different set of adapter plates that I need to mount both or what. Any help would be appreciated!

A 1000 loader is a great tool to have, you will be pleased with it. You will want to review the manuals for the 1000 which are located here: http://www.farmallcub.com/[ Sorry, direct links to manual section is not allowed. ]/index.php?dirpath=./files/IH%20Implement%20and%20Attachment%20Manuals/1000%20Loader%20Manuals&order=0. Both the Operators Manual and Parts Manual are there. Check out page 14 of the Parts Manual and you will find the Fast Hitch Adapting Package that replaces the bail that you removed. The package is scarce as hens teeth, however, with a chop saw, welder, and drill press you can fabricate your own.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Bill. I wish there were some good underneath pictures showing that adapter mounted and in use. Whoever had the loader before me clearly trimmed off the end of the frame for I believe a standard Cub with fast hitch, but I would have to trim quite a bit more off as you can see from my second picture. Not sure how the adaptor gets around that without seeing it in action.....

Re: Ih 1000 loader mounting with fast hitch on 1958 lo boy
I had a fast hitch Lo Boy with a 1000 loader. What they did was cut the ends of the loader arms and mounted the FH wishbone brackets behind it. That is a gaffed up installation as the depth adjustment on the FH cannot travel far as it hits the loader arms. There is no spacer to my knowledge, the arms should bolt directly to the finals.
The correct installation would be as shown in the 1000 parts manual. The 'stinger' is attached to a 'special' cross brace assembly that allows side to side and up and down adjustment of the stinger.

Good information, thank you! Your first picture shows essentially the same use of the wishbone brackets as I did except I have not cut off the loader frame so my wishbone is hanging on the wall. It did seem like it wanted the brackets as spacers though. Took a few measurements and that is what it was. Does make sense though that it should not need spacers, as it could be mounted on a tractor without FH. Your second picture is what I was looking for. I have my "stinger" strapped up for now but now I see how the adapter works. I'll keep an eye out for one or try fabricating it. Does not look too difficult

Like any special piece those are pretty hard to come by. Someone has drawings to make them, try a search. As Bill says, fabricating one is an option. The range of adjustment you need may not be as great as the original setup.
I was lucky on the one in the second picture, it came that way. That 70 is my favorite Cub! The loader in first picture is awaiting my efforts to get it sandblasted and painted. Also to extend the arms so it will fit a standard Cub.
I was able to get the 'cross bar' from a fellow Cubber in Brookfield MA and I got the other piece off ebay. Both took me a while to find.

Re: Ih 1000 loader mounting with fast hitch on 1958 lo boy
I got ya. My loader came off a cub and I would hate to cut it anymore so it never fit anything else.....
It took me a couple months of worry and stress to get mine blasted and painted but I'm happy with the results and it works well. I need to change the breather on it and flush the fluid now that I have run it a bit, but all good.
Almost makes me think we should swap my long frame for your short one but that sounds way too involved...better for us to enjoy the challenge of figuring out our unique situations.
My fun after this will be restoring and mounting the belly mower.....I think it is possible with the loader but I'll know more soon! What I love about this is there are a lot of ways to create solutions and seeing what others have come up with inspires me and gives me great ideas!
I've got to make it to a Cub event soon! Haha

You're very close to several excellent sources of Cub information and assistance, just across the border in New York State.
