Mice are athletic creatures.

I started up one of my WD Allis Chalmers in winter. Mice jumped out of the brake lining hole, which is about 3 feet off ground and a foot or so of cast iron to reach the opening.

I purchased my Cub as a non running tractor. Stored inside. Upon initial engine start up, nuts and debris showered out of the vertical exhaust pipe.
I have an excuse. CRS.
