It's probably still usable, but easy enough to replace.

You never know. I would put it in the parts bin. In 10 or 15 years, you can always put it in the trash.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: Would you throw this out or keep it?
Normally I would probably toss it in a box or throw it out, but after checking out the prices to replace them I can't afford them at this time so I sat down outside and used a small handheld angle grinder (Dremel with a angle grinder attachment that I bought in 2003 and never used) and this is what it looks like so far
I want to clean it up a bit more and then tidy up the holes. If I can't get all the groves out I guess I could use bondo to fill them in.

Smooth it up the best you can and slap some paint on it. I wouldn't bother with trying to make it perfect. I also wouldn't bother to much with the big holes or the marks around them other than smoothing them a little. That side is facing down, nobody but you is going to see that side. Have you ever heard anyone say to their buddy as they walked away from a tractor at a tractor show "That's a real nice looking Cub but I can't believe LeRoy didn't Bondo the underside of those tie rod ends! WHAT WAS HE THINKING!"

Isn't that what John Puckett said to you and I last month at Cubarama.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
