After taking the 193 plow off of Riley I decided I would grab the other 2 and snap a pictures. I know one belongs in the 'Other Tractors and Machinery' but the others belong.

Unless my eyes deceive me, isn't the loader tractor a 424? If so is she a gas or diesel, power steering or armstrong steering? My dad bought a 424 gas brand new in 1967 with a new IH disk and plow and I have a real soft spot for that ol' bird.... :P The only things I would change is to add power steering and live pto--both options when new but ours doesn't have 'em. The '24 still gets lots of chore use and with no power steering she handles like a log cart but I don't intend for her to leave the place!

It is Bill. It's going to be used in Roland. It's missing the radiator and the hood but the engine is good.

Donny, I noticed you mounted the casters on your L59 all the way to the outside. I thought I was the only one who did that. Previous photos of yours show a pretty flat area you mow. I'm assuming you mounted the casters to keep them from mixing it up with the front wheels? Mine work well like that as long as I'm smart about the occasional scalp opportunity on my somewhat uneven lawn.

I should try that with my mower. the casters get in the way of the front wheels.

Jeff,

I moved the casters outboard so the grass to be cut isn't layed over twice. I didn't have a clearance problem that I can remember.

I remember the clearance problem well. The (gasp) Ford has been mowing my place for 16 years, and it had a major problem at first. Keeping in mind that the mower is offset to the right there wasn't a way to set it up without conflict with the front wheels until I moved one wheel all the way in and the other all the way out... and the casters set up just the opposite. Strangely, there is no noticeable steering problem. I've gotten used to the goofy look.

The mower is a Woods L-306-F.

One further comment... those aren't Amigos, they're Internationals and Farmalls. I did see three Amigos on a trailer at Greenville, OH show and another on the ground last weekend. They caught my eye since I have one... a very tough little tractor!

Donny M , What model is that Woods mower? The mounts dont look anything like my L59...... Does the Cub have ample power for the mower.....
