Hey guys, I need some help verifying that this blade will fit my 1950 cub w/fast hitch. Found this grader blade online, owner says it fits a cub but it doesn't look like the OEM Leveling and Grading Blade. Could it be an aftermarket or homemade blade? I know it's missing the necessary hardware for front mounting, is there anything else missing that I would need to mid-mount it? It's a bit of a hike for me to go look at it so I thought I'd reach out to the experts before making the journey.

Re: Is this an aftermarket grader blade?
It looks complete enough to mount (mid) and work, although the rear mount appears homemade. I think it will work fine, normally the standard drawbar (or substitute drawbar) is flipped around, and a small hanger bar is attached to the drawbar. But that one looks like it will work fine.

Re: Is this an aftermarket grader blade?
It is a 54 blade that has been modified to fit 'something.' Take a look at the blade in the upper left corner of the first picture. That one appears to be unmolested. On this page http://www.farmallcub.com/[ Sorry, direct links to manual section is not allowed. ]/index.php?dirpath=./files/Cub%20Attachments/Plows%20and%20blades&order=0 are several manuals for the 54 and 54A blades with some drawings of blades mounted to a Cub with a FH. The FH does complicate the mid-mount. Not as simple and straightforward as a non-FH mounting.

That one in the upper left corner of the first pic is a 54A but it's missing more parts, including the rear mounting bracket and the sub draw bar. The cross-braces on this one kind of threw me too, like it had been cobbled together.

It is heavily modified ie: the entire lifting arm assy back looks homemade but very sturdy. You could never use it upfront without making modifications even if you had all the proper hardware from the looks of it.

Re: Is this an aftermarket grader blade?
That rear mount is for a Super A. At least its the same shape and size as the special Super A drawbar for mounting the blade. The way the angle iron crosses in the center to make the "x" shape is different. So, I'm not sure if its for a Cub or SA.
looks like its missing the mounting pieces if you want to use it as a snow plow.
(Ignore the "A" on the hood, that was before I put the correct Super A decal on)

Re: Is this an aftermarket grader blade?
It is an A-60 blade for a Super A. The substitute drawbar is homemade and the rest has had some extra junk welded to it. I'm sure a tape across it would find it 60 inches wide rather than 54.

Re: Is this an aftermarket grader blade?
Oops, looks like I better go back to school on "A" implements. I apologize for my earlier response, I never thought about it being for an "A". The modifications were obvious in the picture, but the size was not.
