Need Help Identifying a Bucket

Postby PoconoCub » Thu Sep 04, 2014 4:42 pm

I bought this tractor a few years ago before I got sick and I can't remember if I was ever told who the bucket manufacturer was. It looks almost like one from Wagner but I am not sure. Can any one help to identify it?

The framework looks similar to my Wagner, but the trip is a different style, and I don't see the reservoir anywhere? Bucket is different also. Lastly, mine didn't come with the pipe wrench attached. :D

The pipe wrench was an added bonus ;) The reservoir is on the otherside, you can barely see the top of it on the otherside of the gas cap.

After searching the net I managed to find a picture of the same loader frame that is on mine and a nicer bucket, it's not identified but it shows where the reservoir is located.

There were a lot of companies that made pipe frame loaders, and they all looked pretty much the same. That one, I am pretty sure is not a Wagner, there are too many differences, mounts, pivots, etc. I am thinking possibly early Twin-Draulic, or there was another brand, that I cannot remember the name of. I have seen pictures of one like it on the forum with a brand name in the last 6 months or so.

I am thinking that this is definitely not a Wagner. I had the early style on Roland, and it was like John *.?-!.* cub owner's tractor...pipes all the way out to the rear wheels. Then I helped mount the later style Wagner on ToddW's tractor and it was compact, but went all the way back to the final drives to mount...it even included a step to mount the tractor.

Twindraulic had large plates along the side, so this is different from that.

My 1955 Cub, Lewis had a loader mounted at one time, and it seemed to be similar in mount to this one. I did not get the loader or any of the associated parts with this tractor, but if I recall, the pieces that were remaining with the tractor when I saw pics of it our in Oregon looked a lot like this one. Don't know what the name would be for the loader, though...

Actually I am going to disagree and I know for a fact that it is a Henderson. Why do I know that? Because it is identical to the one I have. Unfortunately there is next to no information on this particular Henderson model. Seems to be an upgrade to the Cub/A/Super A version. The original tag is still on the tubing which is why I know the one I have is a Henderson.

Was talking to Mario at NBCC today. The tubing has been all repaired/replaced and the bucket is being done now. Cylinders will probably be done next month or so. Snow bucket will be fabbed before winter from what Mario tells me :-) We have come up with a set of useful projects for the students to fab so that they can generate some funds for Christmas and Grad parties - and cater to the Cub community at the same time :-) :{_}: :-:-):

Phil:

I might need some close up pics and some measurements if that is possible ..

As others have said though - there are parts there that are for the Cub-54 blade and have nothing to do with the loader. And it looks like some parts are PO built .. but hey .. that makes it unique. :big smile:

Oh forgot - mine is being converted to hydraulic dump :-)

I agree the one that you have and the one in the post are Hendersons, as a matter of fact they are Henderson Model B's for Super A and A tractors..

After doing a side by side comparison of the Henderson Model B and mine they sort of look alike from a distance, but upclose mine is different from yours:

Now you maybe right that the one I and the others have that are the same are an early model Henderson, but Henderson hasn't confirmed that :(

Unfortunately our loaders are not the same as Rudi's as shown above :(

On another note I am sure you know this by now the following red parts are not for the loader but for a 54-A snow/grader setup...

Ya lucky me, the previous owner gave me everything he had belonging to the Cub that was long gone! Along with the loader, I got some plow parts too! :D
