You never know where stuff like this will turn up. One of the racers came up to me and said he had some tractor stuff in his trailer that his friend back home said didn't sell on Ebay. The racer knew I was into tractors so he brought them along to see if I was interested. I wasn't expecting Cub stuff (well the seat obviously isn't). The price was very reasonable so they ended up in my trailer.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I have one of those breather pipes with the venturi (rust) hole in the side like that laying in my scrap pile, that is if I haven't hauled it off.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

The guy who brought the stuff is a friend of mine from Michigan who races at our event every year. When I saw the tube I commented that some people will put paint on anything. His friend took the seat of the Cub and thought it was original until I pointed out what it was. I figured the complete battery box, good steering wheel, muffler and manifold with pipe was worth the $40.00 I gave for the whole load. There is also a wiring harness with the switches and gauges but it has been redone with light gauge wire.

You're a magnet! I could make use of about 85% of what you got there!

OK I'll bite.
What is the seat from. I got a 13 - 5 hole seat a few months ago because that is what the Wigle Hoeing attachment parts list had a drawing of. (someday I may have time to fab up the frame ... this winter??). I figured the manufacturer "borrowed" their seat from some other equipment manufacturer, but I was unsure whose. I have a failing memory of similar seats in AC orange and Ford blue. Soooooo again, what were these seat from?????
Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

You're a magnet alright, and that's okay. The problem I have is when you start sucking Cub parts out of my state of Michigan. You need to stay in your own neck of the woods and give the rest of a chance to find good deals like that...Image

  Oh well, I don't have an extra $40 anyway. :?

Great snag Bill.
