Hi all - I have a Cub Sickle-Bar mower that we used on Rex'48. I'm wondering if it can be be mounted on Princess '55 without having to remove the fast hitch?
Thanks for your help, Ken

Re: Sickle Bar w/Fast-Hitch
IH made a different bracket that mounts on final for use with fast hitch. Or you can modify the one you have. Also, you will need something to hold fast hitch up when using sickle mower, otherwise rockshaft will rub the belt.
Some guys use the original bracket I believe, but I don't like that configuration

Re: Sickle Bar w/Fast-Hitch
I used the original style with my fast hitch for years, with no problems.
The "misalignment" is only about 1/2" to the right, and not even noticeable.
IIRC I added washers between the lower hole and the fast hitch bracket so the mower hung straight.

Re: Sickle Bar w/Fast-Hitch
This page shows the adapter kit for using the Cub-22 with a Fast Hitch. Item #6 is a 1/2 inch thick spacer that takes care of the difference. It can be easily made or use washers as Matt did.

Hi,
Here's pics of how the rear bracket for Fast Hitch use looks. It works with a drawbar too.
