Assuming you have the tractor split, loosen pressure plate and insert alignment tool where the driveshaft would go. Tighten up pressure plate. Remove tool, put tractor back together. May need to turn PTO shaft to line up splines (must be engaged and trans in neutral).

You can also use a cut off "transmission clutch " shaft if you happen to have one in place of the tool….(Just happens to be what I use )…Then proceed as Dan explained…Hope you get it this time. The tools usually come with a clutch kit, but are available by themselves...I bought my cut off on ebay.. …Good luck…Dave :)

I made an alignment tool from a piece of dowel (I think it was 5/8) and duct tape. I slid the dowel into the pilot bearing, and then held up the clutch disk to the flywheel and marked where the hub was on the dowel. Pulled the dowel off, and wrapped duct tape around the mark until the disk hub was snug when slid onto the tape. Put the dowel back in the pilot bearing, slid the disk on, then bolted up the pressure plate. Worked like a charm.
