which would be easier on the cub

Postby john2189 » Sun Aug 03, 2014 10:30 pm

The 49 I just bought had a broken ear on the motor, i welded it back on and installed the engine braces i got from Rick Prentiss some time ago. I have driven it around the yard and all seems ok for now. Which would be easier on the cub?

1-mowing with a woods 59 mowing 5 acres once sometimes twice a week

2-sickle bar mower maybe three times a summer to clean up the tree line... alot of vibration

3 -putting the snow plow for plowing snow.

I want to keep and work this cub but don't want to destroy it.

It seems as if it is a good weld and the brace is installed correctly then it should be stronger than stock and should use as you wish.

Yes it would be a good idea, I had them on my other 49 to keep them from breaking but I took them off of it to put on the other 49 that was broken and welded.

Bezirk makes and sells them, I need a set too,I had asked him but have not ordered them yet.
