Does anyone have knowledge of the touch control system to know if it can cause a bind when hand cranking the engine if it were rotated in reverse or if the touch control lever was moved during this procedure? I hate to mess with this system, since it was previously working. It looks like I have to break some seals to disconnect the pump and eliminate this as a problem. My last resort!!!!

The only way I can think of the pump causing binding would be if the gear was coming off the shaft of the pump and wedging in the front. That wouldn't necessarily relate to the direction the engine was turning but would happen if the locking washer and nut came off that hold the gear on. Moving the TC control lever shouldn't make any difference.

If the hydraulics are in good order (pump drive gear included) moving the touch control will have little effect on the difficulty of tuning the engine over with a hand crank.
A broken timing gear or missing several teeth on a timing gear or idler would.

Do you by chance have a bypass block on the hydraulics such as is used with a loader or the blade angle kits some have made? If so, does it have the bypass hose installed?
