One is for the regular Cub and one is for the Loboy. The beam is different on them.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

And a quick note. The F-38 will work on the LoBoy...I've seen it used in the field when I hosted the Cheesy Cubfest in Wisconsin several years ago. The only issue is that because the disk hangs out so far back from the tractor and with the way the center of gravity is on the Loboy, the front end gets a little light when using the F-38 disk on a lowboy...

Here is an L-38 with original decals. It has the curved point of a disk for the standard FCub.

There is a possible point of confusion here. IH may have sold them as 2 different models for a while. They were certainly sold as a single model (Cub-L38), essentially as a unit with no hitch that required a separate "completing package" to attach it to the tractor. There were at least 3 completing packages:
- Fast Hitch for the Farmall Cub
- Fast Hitch for the Cub Lo-Boy
- Standard drawbar for Farmall Cub without Fast Hitch.

There was also a Model 38 for the 100/140 tractors with Fast Hitch. It was a different machine, yet similar in appearance.

I've been wondering about this myself. Manual I looked at for L-38 had loboy and Fcub discs. Very confusing. Thanks for clearing tha up for me!

I have both styles of Fast Hitch disc, my regular CUB came with the FH disc for a Lo Boy. That explained how the rear tires got all CHEWED UP ! LOL.
