If I had to eat that stuff to install a fast hitch, the fast hitch wouldn't get installed...

Re: How To Install Fast Hitch In Summer Heat
Watermelon is bound to help, but what I need is a little more detail. I am currently trying to install a fast hitch on my 1960 Cub and can't for the life of me get the part that the rear cultivator bars go in past the tire where it will be in a position to lift straight up and bolt onto the finals. I've twisted, pulled, maybe even talked ugly trying to get it in the right position and nothing has worked for me. Any tricks any of you can pass along to me will certainly be appreciated. Thomas, since you are working with the exact same situation, it looks like, thought maybe you could help me out with some words of wisdom. Thanks.
PS The three point hitch I took off it wasn't any trouble at all.

Re: How To Install Fast Hitch In Summer Heat
Best way is to remove one tire. I didn't have much problem installing it. Another tip would be to have 3 things that are about right height to lay front of bail and the two bearings on so you're not wrestling with it. 3 milk crates worked great for me.

Or you might bite them if you eat that melon too fast.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Sorry but no. It has to be watermelon. This just happens to be your lucky day though. The conversion rate is 100lbs of strawberries to one watermelon and I have a nice ripe watermelon here. Want to trade? I think you are getting a better deal!

Re: How To Install Fast Hitch In Summer Heat
Thomas, thanks for the tip on installing the fast hitch, i.e., your posting on July 8. I picked up one side with an engine hoist(so there wouldn't be anything in the way down below), removed the tire and installed the fast hitch pretty darn easy. I would certainly advise this method.

Re: How To Install Fast Hitch In Summer Heat
My fast hitch is sitting in the side yard awaiting my 1955 to get "refreshed" so that it can go back on. With all of the issues I have heard about that, I think that it might be a 1 watermelon + two beer project!
