Anyone bought an aftermarket fuel strainer (not IH Case)? Had success? Work as it should?
Let me know...thanks!

Re: Advice on Aftermarket Fuel Strainers
I replaced the original one on my 61 Cub with an A&I sediment bowl assembly. When I first put it on it did not seem to shut off completely. I don't recall what I did to remedy this, but it is working fine now. It was probably the little winged shut off handle. That style of handle does not seem to provide as much torque on the valve as the bent rod type handle on the original.

Not me. Tried from several different suppliers. Finally gave up. If I have a problem with a sediment bowl, I installed a ball valve.
I have an excuse. CRS.

I've had success with them. I prefer the tee handle, to the bent handle, on the IH ones. Easier toi grip and turn.

Re: Advice on Aftermarket Fuel Strainers
The originals seem to be higher quality and the aftermarket ones require a reducer (included) that changes the geometry of the fuel line (a touch shorter). The 'T' valve on the aftermarket ones are a bit easier to use, it can be a pain to the factory one just right without leaking, but when it's right it is easy to turn.

Re: Advice on Aftermarket Fuel Strainers
I have used them all I guess, had very little trouble , most of the time all that is needed is adjustment of the packing nut
