air filter

Postby bossman53 » Tue Jun 24, 2014 9:17 am

What does the air filter consist of? I can't find anything on it. I have a 53 cub. I'm trying to service the tractor. Thanks

Oil in the cup and non removable steel mesh in the canister above.

Check out either manual tab above and click on the operators manual. Pick the one for the year closest to your tractor (actually anyone will give you the info). Check out the maintenance section.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

It's a simple matter of removing the oil cup and cleaning it thoroughly, refilling with oil to the noted level, rinse out the mesh element well in mineral spirits, kero or similar solvent. Reassemble and you are good to go.
