Help I.D. 1961 cub tool bar setup

Postby ccaissie » Tue May 27, 2014 4:58 pm

Howdy:

Acquired this 61 cub, not too familiar with the rear cultivating equipment setup.

Does it look like a standard issue, and if so, does anyone know what the model etc. is?

Planning to use it on crops this year,

I'm not very familiar with them, but are those parts to a 2 way plow? I do recognize the standard drawbar in there.

If cultivating, you'd have to completely remove all of those pieces.

Looks like parts to a 189 two way plow to me also. I see the lower end of a depth lever and a dogbone and an eyebolt in the drawbar. Should be another dog bone and eyebolt for the other side I believe. As well as the drawbar has been turned around to the normal position but only has one bolt in it to keep it from hingeing. Don't put much weight on it without adding the other bolt. Also the part of the latching mechanism to hold one side up while using the other, and the chain hooks on the rear rockshaft.

There should be a manual and parts list in the manual section above.

I'll bet that stuff would sell pretty easily, or you are well on your way to assembling a two way plow. Either way your ahead :{_}:
