Yellow Cub.....All yellow.
Am I the only one out here who has an all yellow cub? All the other pics I see are white and yellow. Mine is a 1968. Serial Number 232634 Federal Yellow Paint.

Re: Yellow Cub.....All yellow.
Most of the yellow cubs were used for industrial purposes. There are several members with yellow ones Most of them were Loboys..
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Yellow Cub.....All yellow.
Ih frequently painted cubs to match the bid specifications of municipalities, counties, park departments, etc., for mowing along roadways, etc. Yellow was a common color for that.

A Loboy would not have had a serial number as high as you say yours is.
This is my Loboy.

Less likely options but possible; you misread/fatfingered the serial #, or it's had the bolster replaced, or somebody converted it, or...........Time for a picture of it.Barnyard wrote:A Loboy would not have had a serial number as high as you say yours is.......

This is my Loboy.
Barnyard's Lo-Boy pictured above is wearing its original factory color. My Lo-Boy pictured below in the foreground was originally all yellow. Gary's Lo-Boy in the background was not y/w from the factory.
Your '68 was likely repainted all yellow unless special ordered from the factory.

Re: Yellow Cub.....All yellow.
My 1967 model was all yellow when I bought it.
I think someone painted it with a bucket of yellow paint and a hand grenade, though.
Last year I had the hood off so I stripped and painted it Rustoleum rattle can white. Looks better now.

Wow Hank, that looks pretty cool with the dual wheels and oversize fronts. Swap your engine for a small-block V8 and you'll have yourself a lawn-mowing rat rod.

Re: Yellow Cub.....All yellow.
if that is a factory optional horn (looks like it is), it is quite rare and collectable (in some sense). Are those the "high crop" front wheels, or is it just the angle??
That grill you have looks rare too!!
Nice Cub
