A friend of mine got me into calling my cub a name. Since it's a hobby more than a job. I have a 71 Y&W cub named Hoss. We don't even know if it will run yet but will find out soon. My friend said I should of called it RUST BUCKET. :D

George Willer liked to name his tractors after the person he purchased them from, so he could remember where they came from. After his passing, I bought his 57, "Scotty" and he's still Scotty. He deviated from that plan on a few, though, his 2 Loboys were shorty & Squatty, I now have Shorty, Mr. E has Squatty. Trike & Rat Cub are a couple other deviations, which Steve B. now has. Of course I have Cubota, named for logical reasons. Some of our other tractors have names, some not. I think it's hard to let go of a tractor that has earned a name.

With only one cub I have no trouble knowing which one. Cub means the F series red thing. Cadet means the yellow thing.*#*!&@ means whichever one isn't running right. Vern
