Found a IH Filter in Oscar today

Well if you looked in my '49 Cub you would find an original NOS IH element too.

Hi Brendan,
That looks like the style of filter IH had in the mid 1970's into the early 1980's, I think. I used to buy them for my Cub then. Before that they had the metal ends painted red, then they went to the bare metal.

[Super A]

Old Ugly the Super A had an IH filter in it when I changed oil the first time. It had black IH's on it, which I understand was the last style of IH filters before the merger. The ones I remember growing up had red IH's, I think back then we "stockpiled" them so they had probably been on the shelf for a little while. This would have been very late 70s-early 80s.

No Al, just a decent old twine box I found at an antique mall several years ago. Makes for nice storage and display.
