Question on wrong ground hookup

Postby cubby » Sun Apr 20, 2014 7:33 pm

The PO of the 1975 cub i just got had the positive post grounded. This is the wrong way i know to hook it up. SO, if it was hooked up wrong, do i need to polarize the generator if i hook it up to NEG ground? How do i polarize the generator? I know u touch a wire from somewhere. What does this do and how often do you need to do this. The tractor runs now,so what else should i do to make it NEG ground ? The serial# is--247343--Thank You, RICK

When you change it back to negative ground, make sure that the wire from the distributer to the coil is connected to the negative post on the coil.

Shouldn't a 1975 Farmall (International) Cub be negative ground with an alternator? Something doesn't sound right here.
Though trillions and trillions of eyes have been watching the skies for as long as human memory exists, no gods nor angels have been seen or documented outside of religion. The number of spaceships being sighted however has become much more prevalent.
