one more cub 22 mower question
On the cub 22 I just got, the drag bar is missing so ill have to make one. What diameter is the rod and how far away are the bends so I can make one.
Tractors are like watermelons: the RED is good and you throw away the GREEN.

Re: one more cub 22 mower question
It's 3/4" rod. The total length is 33". The closed loop has an OD of 3", the other end is an open hook. The closed loop attaches to a piece of 1/2" stock that is either 2 1/4 x 3" or 2 1/4 x 6 1/2". I don't remember why there are two different lengths there. That stock is attached on an angle to the solid square stock that is 6 1/2" long. Let me know if you need anything else.

Bob, could that be one of the differences between a regular Cub and a Loboy mount?
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Possibly, but I have both lengths and don't have a 22 mower for a loboy.

Re: one more cub 22 mower question
I can save you considerable effort if you will be at the N.E. OK Cubfest.
The earliest mowers seem to have the long front bracket while the shorter one came along later but well before the Lo-Boy was introduced. The L-22 used the same as the later Cub-22.

The short drop drag bar support came on the very early Cub-22's (pre-1951). The Loboy L-22 and later Cub-22 supports have the same part number (451382R94). The L-22 round drag bar itself is slightly shorter than the Cub-22. Based on three examples, the L-22 drag bar length is 32.5-inches (outside to outside). I have seen a lot of different measurements for the Cub-22 drag bar. I have two that are 33.75-inches (outside to outside) that came with the later style long drop support.
