Coil

Postby Graeme » Thu Apr 03, 2014 8:00 pm

I have a 47 converted to 12v positive ground. I left the ignition on when charging and burnt out the coil. The coil is 6v with no external resistor. Should I go to a 12v coil? Also would I have done any damage inside the distributor? Thank you Graeme Ross

12 volt coil with internal resister or 6 volt coil with external resistor.

Yes, might have fried the ignition points.
I have an excuse. CRS.

12 volt positive ground. Question, generator with voltage regulator or alternator?
