Throttle Linkage

Postby Edd_D » Wed Apr 02, 2014 6:08 pm

I've got everything painted and reassembling my 1951 Cub Farmall. Thanks to all those who have helped with this project. My only concern is what am I going to do after I finish?

I do have a problem that I need help with . I want to rehook up the linkage between the throttle and the carburetor but don't see how to hook it up. Anybody have a picture of the linkage hookup at the carburetor?

Also, how does the choke rod hook up?

Thanks

The throttle rod goes in the upper hole in the throttle shaft, the choke rod goes in the hole on the bottom of the choke lever on the choke shaft.

Tip. Carburetor removed from manifold. Install the choke and throttle linkage, insert cotter keys. Then install carburetor on the manifold.
I have an excuse. CRS.

If you are talking about the linkage from the throttle lever on the steering post, it goes from there to the governor and then a separate linkage from the governor to the carburetor.

Here's a link to the GSS-1411 Service manual that tells how to adjust the governor to throttle linkage. That needs to be done each time the carb is removed.
