Small Auction find

Postby rjfcsa » Wed Mar 19, 2014 12:17 pm

Hobbled out to a auction yesterday of I think might have been a local dealer service man? Several old tractors on steel etc. lots of stuff. Had 3 racks of manuals and literature all breeds. I bought sever manuals and parts books, I need to go thru all mine and I might put some of my duplicate ones up for sale on here. Any way was near a rack when they held up some head gaskets in an I.H. envelope, I could not remember the cub head gasket number but I won them for $5.00 so I did not really care what they fit. Looked up the number hear at home and they are for the cub. There are 4 n.o.s. in the right envelope 251229-R1 then there is a fifth not sure what it is for, I.H.C. 39928-DA. They are all marked VICTOR as well.
Not a super find but I was please.

Seriously. I missed another auction close by on a no school day. Good to here your getting out. Looks or sounds like you had a good time. I would have prolly gone wild at a sale like that.

Yea Jason it wasn't too bad of a drive. It was over just the other side of Peoria, 2 hours for us but for these type of auction are getting few and far apart. They ran 3 rings from 10:00 a.m. and were still running when we left at 2:30. the third ring was just on manuals, they were about done when we left, and the last rack had the J.D. books, not much interest there for me.
The 5th gasket I got looks like a cub gasket but slightly bigger and best I can figure it might have went on a I.H. 50 baler with the flat head continental engine.
