My Napa guy called today and told me the filter sale was starting today and ending on March 15th.

Napa #1153 - $4.48 each.

I really like my Napa store.

I'm lucky to live in an area where there's a NAPA store in almost every town around. We had one here on Grand Island for years, but the place was useless! They never had sales and would not recognize NAPA corporate sales unless you told them it was on sale. I only went there once or twice, and now I'm happy to say they are out of business.

If you go 5-miles over to Niagara Falls, there is a huge NAPA store and they are AWESOME!! I've ordered Cub ignition parts in the morning and had them there at the store by lunch time. There's a NAPA regional store out in East Buffalo / Lancaster area that has a full machine shop and they're even better than the Niagara Falls store. There is a guy there that re-builds Kohler engines for all the tractor pulling guys, does all of the machining and rebuilds an engine for about $100 plus parts.

That's sweet. We used to have one in Kent that did that. Too many Auto Zone's and O'Reilly's I guess. There is still a NAPA in Kent but at a different location and no machine shop service. We had an independent parts house in town with a machine shop but that's gone away too. Many years ago I worked for an independent parts house in Youngstown that had a machine shop and even had an air compressor service that had a service truck and made "house calls", also long gone when bought out by a chain. Machine shops in general seem to be getting fewer and further between.

Our NAPA is a local franchise, and they do not have that sale on, but if you buy a case, they are only 6.79 each.
