Getting ready to rebuild the T/C cylinder block on my '66 by gathering parts needed. Went thru my inventory and found two gasket kits. One is 360713R91 and the other is R92. The older one has a date of 3/87. Anyone know what the revision was? Is the older kit still acceptable to use?
I have not opened either package yet. Visually the older kit(R91) o-rings are all black with some white haze on them. The newer kit(R92) o-rings are some black and some blue with no white haze to them. Gaskets are of a visually different material.
Hate to trash the old one but if there is a good reason to do so, so be it.
Thanks
Chuck

I don't know if this applies here, but when I rebuilt my SA TC, there was also 2 gaskets. The difference was the bolt hole size.

I found that there were several hydro block serial numbers. One kit works with the 351981R1 or 354383R1 through 354383R4 blocks, while the other kit is for the 360719R1 block.

Re: T/C cylinder block gasket kit revision
I'm looking to see if anyone knows what the revision was from R91 to R92. TC37F rev.6 was already reviewed but my copy only shows R91. It changed after 1987 which by my reckoning is well after the last printing/updates were done to the parts manual. Case/IH online parts shows R91 on exploded view but R92 when you click for the detail.
I am clear there are different part numbers depending on the block being serviced.
Thanks
Chuck
