Anybody had an IH 1000 single arm loader on both a Lo-Boy and Standard Cub? Mine is on my Lo-Boy now, and I was thinking of moving it to a Standard, but didn't know if there were any benefits. It is pretty hard to get on the Lo-Boy with the loader installed, and it is tough steering. I imagine it is a bit easier to climb on a Std with the loader installed, and I'm guessing the steering will still be hard due to the additional weight. Do the spindle drops on the front of the Std make is more fragile?
Thanks.

Re: IH 1000 Loader
I have had a 1000 loader on a low boy ,f cub and a 140. The best was on the 140, more power and more room but it still has only so much lift. As for the cub's the steering is pretty much the same on both, as far as getting on the low boy compared to the regular cub I thought it was about the same just a few more inches up to get on . Still very cramped although I am larger than the average person if you know what I mean. All of them have a fast hitch other than the lowboy, not sure if that made a difference . The one with the 2 buckets had a speed reducer and I thought that one steered the worst but I don't think that had any thing to do with it. If I can help with anything else let me know. Matt

Re: IH 1000 Loader
Beef up the front axle and add power steering! How to's on here for both somewhere.
