55 Cub powering a LETZ grain grinder

Postby Dan Robertson » Tue Feb 18, 2014 7:45 pm

Today I uploaded a video to You Tube of my 55 Cub running a very old LETZ grinder with the flat belt. We were grinding corn for the calves to eat. Had a bunch of family and grand kids here over the weekend, and with the nice sunny Feb day Sunday I thought it would be great to let the kids and young adults watch something being done from long ago. They had a blast. My wife was doing the video, and as you can see the kids were enthusiastic, especially when it came time to sack up the freshly ground grain. :{_}: Click here to watch; http://youtu.be/S7nvkq6fbCs

Yep, the kids sure did enjoy the day. Back when I was that age we considered that work.

Thanks for sharing with us.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Neat video. The kid's seemed a bit leery of it at first but enjoyed themselves, even the teenager! I like your dual grader blades and the hydraulics, that's pretty neat to!

Not sure what model that is, but it looks close to a model 210. If so i have a manual for it here:

If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Cool video, when I was a kid the ranch I worked on had a corn grinder that we used when the big corn mill was down, it had a PTO shaft. Thanks for sharing
