Plans are still coming together OK for Diana and I to leave fairly early Friday morning. Probably 3 hours driving, 4 with bathroom breaks... ;-) I intend to drive the WUV (worlds ugliest van) and have Major on the small trailer. I tend to use the "M" position on the auto tranny. Mine has an "M" gear which stands for "mosey"... :-)
I have the Woods 42 mounted on it and since it is a fairly permanent fixture I thought I would just leave it on. For those that have never seen Major, you need not worry about the shine blinding you. It has been a loooong time since Major had any shine.
Really looking forward to this weekend.

Brichter,
You guys traveling up I-75? What should I look for on the road?
My plan now is to leave home (60 miles North of Atlanta) very early Friday morning and drive up arriving just after noon, could change to Thursday evening late, then finish up Friday morning.

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

We're all looking forward to the CubFest!!! For those who don't know or can't be there, this will be the third time for "Major" to attend a CubFest. Don't let Farmer's (also known as Frobl) modesty fool you. Major is a very nice original Cub... with even the original (I think) fine screen grille.

countdown to cubfest

Postby brichter » Tue Jun 14, 2005 6:07 am

We are leaving Wednesday morning, staying in Greenville, SC overnite and going on up Thursday. Plan to be there Friday morning to watch all the Cubs arrive. We will be traveling on a White Dodge 2500 pickup. '01 vintage. We are not taking Andy this time. didn't feel like pulling the trailer quite this fat.

we will be leaving thursday pm sometime. David and I are confirmed going, and Barb is a maybe... depending on her work requirements. should be an easy run in on friday. "Primer" Pete will be in attendance, with enough space on the trailer for a reverse BD raid  Lurker Carl is gonna be my lookout and set up a diversion
