I'm looking but not sure about the replacement shafts as compared to the originals. I'm pretty sure the old IH parts were induction heat treated in the spline areas to make them durable. I'm sure it fits, but what makes me hesitate is the way the new parts may not be heat treated in the wear areas. Does anyone have experience with aftermarket shafts?

I bought one 2 weeks ago and found I had to remachine the groove for the snap ring, other than that it was ok

I've had some off-line reports that the quality on these shafts may not be up to par. Particularly the shaft diameter where the bearing goes may be a little small. So, as with anything, buyer beware.
