My late cousin George McQuaid made this he used it regularly I purchased tractor from him before he passed. I hooked it up to try and it worked. Do not have a wood stove so for now it is a novelty.

For some reason an old time comment of "the tail wagging the dog", comes to mind.

Is this driven from the cub hydraulics or is that a pro driven pump in the bottom picture? Really neat!

Looks like a Cub PTO driven pump.

Question. Where is the reservoir for the hydraulic fluid?
I have an excuse. CRS.

Are those the correct "splines" in that pump , or maybe he was using an adaptor ! Lee Petrie, Joliet, IL.

Ahhh, yes. The spline issue....

If anybody needs a PTO adapter for this kind of project:
Hub City, 31/32"-10 spline to 1 3/8"-6 spline. Part Number 0332-00355

Special order from the local IH/Case dealer and on back order, so I paid quite a bit of freight $$$
It came to $43.00

That splitter looks like a winner! Sweet addition to the toy box.

One of the compact John Deeres had the same size pto, and many Deere dealers have those adapters in stock.

interesting Idea but it almost looks like the PTO pump would stick out far enought to get in the way of the operation of the fast hitch? I don't know what GPM the pto pump would produce but I remember one working off the hydraulics on an old ford 8n and it being painfully slow. Sometimes you have to just work with what you have.
